Comment from a happy
ChatterBox Alarm system customer, "The HJC is quite simple to install
and has a lot of extremely nice
features. There are two buttons on the remote (which has quite a good range).
The first button arms the alarm with a simple press
of the button. (The signal lights will flash once). When the button
is pressed once again it turns the unit off. It will notify you if
the bike has been tampered with. If the button is pressed for about 3 seconds
it acts as a warn away. That is, it activates the ear
splitting siren and flashes the front and rear signal lights.
The second button is called a vehicle locator. That’s kind of a dumb description
as far as I am concerned. What it does is turn the
front and rear signal lights into four way hazards. Now for an emergency on
the roadside that’s a nice feature.
The alarm has an ignition interrupt. I found that when the alarm is armed,
the bike would not start even with the ignition key
turned on.
The sensitivity control is located on the front of the unit and is a simple
adjust with a small screwdriver.
Last but least the unit has a LED indicator light to show you and anyone
else the unit is armed.
The unit is small enough to fit under the seat on an Intruder 1400. It is
quite a bit smaller than THE OTHER popular alarm
Over all I am extremely pleased with this unit and would highly recommend
it."
